Kachumar

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium white radish (grated)
  • 1 medium tomato (chopped)
  • ½ lime
  • ½ green chilli finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp crushed roasted cumin seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Grate the white radish gently.
  2. Squeeze the grated white radish to remove some water (do not remove all water).
  3. Put white radish in serving dish and mix chopped tomato and green chilli.
  4. Add salt, pepper and cumin and mix well with a fork.
  5. Sprinkle with lime juice and mix.
  6. Refrigerate before serving.
  7. Garnish with green coriander. .

Notes: This is an Indian salad. White Radish (in Hindi this is called muli) can be found in most Indian grocery stores (also found in many East-Asian and chain grocery stores).
